Hi Alan,
The new book looks very interesting. Just one question – does it deal with using taped call to attract birds?
Many thanks,
Jason
Hey Jason, I do talk about the use of playback calls in my book. When to, and when not to use them, and how I use them.
Hope that helps, Thanks,
Alan
Thanks Alan. It’s on my Xmas list
.
Alan,
Where can I purchase it for the discounted pre-order price of $40? The link only has the full price $50 link.
Thanks,
Brad
Hey Brad, the pre-order price was only for the first 500 sold. Everyone that is selling the ebook is now charging the full price of $50.
Hope that helps. Naturescapes.net has free shipping at the moment.
Hi Alan,
Do you write articles or books about how to set up the camera and lens technique for bird photography?
Thanks.
Gail
Nikon D90, 300mm f4 AF-S
Hi Gail, there is some information in my new ebook about basic setting for the different styles of shooting that I do, but I have not done any writing just about camera settings or lens techniques.
Thanks, Alan
Thanks Alan.
Hi Alan
Is there a donloadable electronic version of this ebook? or is CD the only available option??
Thanks, Loco
Hi Loco,
The eBook is only available on CD. It will be shipping in early December.
Hi Alan, Is the CD available right now? It will be shipped over seas?
Thanks Master.
Hi James, the CD will be shipping this coming week and it will be shipping over seas.
Thanks, Alan
Got the new book a couple of days ago and am very impressed with the content and photos.
While I am waiting for the 12 inches of snow to melt I am working on designing a drip pond or bath for the summer. I have a plastic “pond” which I purchased a couple of years ago but never put into use because it needed electricity to run a pump. I will now try with a drip hose connection this spring.
Great ideas …thanks a million
Alan,
I found your eBook to be very insightful and complementary to last February’s workshop. It’s well written with lots of neat tricks and techniques inter-dispersed throughout the book. The flow was good, providing an inspirational learning experience. The main theme that I got out of it was to pay attention to every detail in your setup and the bird behavior.
BTW: I like your blog! Great resource.
Regards,
Bill
Alan:
Your CD has been inspirational to me.
I have got permission to shoot in a local city park – however I was not sure where exactly to create the set-up. I would think that it should be in an open space, close to some shrubs and trees. Any feedback on that would be appreciated.
Al
Hey Al, thanks for buying my CD.
I would try to find a location that is away from people. Somewhere where you have good light and a nice unshaddowed background. Put your set-up near cover/trees. You may have to keep it stocked for a couple of days before the birds find it. I hope that helps. Alan.
